STP Viewer is an application, which allows users to view 2D or 3D graphic models of objects or object parts which are saved in STEP (.stp) file format.
The application has a simple and neat interface, which provides quick access to its main function. Once a 3D model is imported or opened, it will immediately be displayed on the main screen.
The CAD model can be viewed in basically two main modes: in shade mode and in wireframe mode. The former viewing mode displays the CAD model like an actual object, allowing users to visualize its textures in detail, while the second mode represents it graphically, through wire frames.
In order to provide an efficient way of previewing the CAD model, STP Viewer offers users the opportunity to change the colors of the model’s main components, according to their preferences. In addition to this, the "Tree view" function allows users to visualize different parts of a CAD model in an easy manner.
A detailed view of a selected part of the model is possible through the "Zoom in/out" function. The user is also able to view the object from four different angles: top, bottom, left and right, while the "Dynamic rotation" function allows them to rotate and view it in 2D mode.
All in all, STP Viewer was especially created for those who need a good tool for the quick visualization of CAD models. Its user-friendly interface and light menu make it suitable for less initiate users who are not required to have special technical skills.
